Playlist-Shuffle
The fair track exchange system for independent artists.

Pitch your track once – it lands on 20 other playlists every day. In return you discover 20 new artists daily. Strict 1:20 principle, no algorithm bias.
For small and new artists, music labels, and anyone building an audience.
Not for established acts with tens of thousands of monthly listeners.
Beta
We're currently in beta – give us a chance and try us for free! During the beta there are no payable features. At this early stage we can't yet guarantee that we'll distribute tracks exactly as promised; we're doing our best to onboard as many artists as quickly as possible.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about Playlist-Shuffle, the fair track exchange for independent artists.
What is Playlist-Shuffle?
Playlist-Shuffle is a fair exchange service for musicians: you pitch one track, and it gets placed on 20 other users' playlists every day. In return you receive 20 new tracks daily in your personal "Discoveries" playlist. No algorithm, no pay-to-play – a strict 1:20 principle.
How does the 1:20 principle work?
For every track you add to the pool, it receives 20 placements on other users' playlists each day. At the same time you get 20 new tracks from other artists in your Discoveries playlist. So the system stays fair: what you give, you get. The exact distribution is done by a daily shuffle (e.g. at 09:00).
Is Playlist-Shuffle free?
There is a free tier with 1 track slot(s). A Pro account lets you pitch more tracks at once. The core features – pitching a track and receiving discoveries – are available on the free tier. During the beta there are no payable features.
How do I sign up?
You sign in only with your Spotify account ("Sign in with Spotify"). No separate password is created. After authorisation, your discoveries playlist "Playlist-Shuffle - Discoveries" is created in your Spotify account, and your new tracks are added there daily.
Do I need a Spotify account?
Yes. Playlist-Shuffle uses Spotify for sign-in and for playing the playlists. You need a standard Spotify account (Free or Premium).
How do I pitch a track?
In the app you enter the Spotify link to your track (e.g. open.spotify.com/track/…) and click "Pitch" or "Promote". The track is added to the shuffle pool and assigned to 20 other users every day. You can change or remove the track at any time.
How many tracks can I pitch?
On the free tier: 1 active track(s). Pro accounts have more slots (up to 3 tracks at once). You can see the exact number in the dashboard.
What is the Discoveries playlist?
It's your personal Spotify playlist "Playlist-Shuffle - Discoveries". That's where the 20 tracks assigned to you each day are added. You'll find it in your Spotify app under your playlists. You can listen, remove, or add those tracks to your own playlists.
How many new tracks do I get per day?
You get 20 new tracks added to your Discoveries playlist every day – in line with the 1:20 principle. The exact time is the daily shuffle (default 09:00).
What if I don't listen to my Discoveries?
You don't have to listen to every track. The system does record whether tracks are played. If you pause your account or stay inactive for longer periods, limits may apply – see the dashboard for details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data via support or the contact details in the imprint. After deletion, your data will be removed as soon as legally possible.
Is my data handled securely?
We only process data necessary to run the service (e.g. account email/ID, pitched tracks, playlist assignments). Details are in our privacy policy.
Are cookies used?
Technically necessary cookies are used (e.g. for language and login), and – only with your consent – an additional cookie for our own anonymous usage and performance analytics. No third-party tools such as Google Analytics are used. See the privacy policy for details.
Who is Playlist-Shuffle for?
Primarily independent artists and bands looking for fair visibility without algorithm bias. You should be willing to discover other people's tracks too – that's how the exchange works for everyone.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free: 1 track slot(s), full use of shuffle and Discoveries. Pro: multiple track slots (up to 3 tracks at once), same principle. During the beta there are no payable features. Exact limits and pricing are in the dashboard or at sign-up.
What Spotify permissions do you need and what for?

(2) Recently played – to check whether you've actually listened to assigned tracks. (3) Your profile data (display name, email if provided) – to associate your account; we only store what's needed to run the service.
